To all karma yogis considering Seva Saturday:

Every second Saturday, Seva is meant to happen in
two shifts, so that participation doesn't take up your whole day. Your commitment is for a maximum of 3 hours, IF you want to join us for a free lunch (9:30 a.m. to 12:30, or 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.). It's only 2 hours if lunch here doesn't figure into your plans for the day:

Morning group service shift is 9:30 - 11:30 a.m.
Break and lunch (for both groups): 11:30 - 12:30
Afternoon group service shift is 12:30 - 2:30 p.m.

At 11:30 we start taking sandwich orders for lunch. At 11:45 a run is made to Subway to get sandwiches & chips. Lunch starts about noon, as soon as the food gets to the Center.

I once had to write an apologetic speech for a fast food CEO who made a dumb assumption. This message probably proves that, at least in the dumb assumption department, I have what it takes to be a fast food CEO.

With affection,
Br. Shankara
