Vedanta Center of Atlanta Events & Activities | Calendar

We warmly welcome everyone to any regular weekly or special event at the Center. You do not need any special invitation. Our devotees and guests come from all walks of life and from every corner of the world. Please keep checking our calendar and sign up to receive announcements via email, as we invite several fascinating authors, inter-faith ministers, and other guest speakers throughout the year. Our annual retreat normaly takes place during an autumn weekend.

REGULARLY SCHEDULED Events and Activities
Sunday Services
10:30 - 11:00 am Chant: This is a brief service of chanting in the chapel. These are mantra-type chants from several religious traditions.; Copies of the words (quite simple) are provided, and we chant to the accompaniment of tapes.; 11 am - 12:15 pm Discourse followed by Discussion and Guided Meditation; See Calendar.

Tuesday Class 8 - 9 pm

We are reading the Gospel of Ramakrishna (abridged). Shailesh Pawar and Swami Brahmavidyananda lead the discussion. Books are available in the bookstore for $17.50 each. Meditation follows.

              Thursday Class 8 - 9:15 pm
                    Non-duality "ADVAITA VEDANTA" class. Participants are asked to read ahead and bring their comments
                    and questions to class. No meditation.

Every evening except Sunday: Vespers 6:00 - 6:45 pm

A short period of prayer is followed by silent meditation.The meditation room is open to all. Drop in or out as you can, during this time.
