Glimpses of the past

   It has been suggested to me that before I exit this life I should put down my memories of the origins and growth of the several centers with which my monastic life has been associated. The books, Six Lighted Windows and Ports of Call contain much of those reminiscences, but of course there are more. The present material concerns those times, places, and monastic personnel – particularly activities of the American born monks. The “glimpses” will be presented here serially.
