NEW YORK
(RAMAKRISHNA VIVEKANANDA CENTER)

In addition to what is written in Six Lighted Windows, mention may be made that a young devotee who came frequently to work in the book-shipping room was Jim Bagby Jr. This man, Swami Nikhilananda's disciple, later became a live-in member of the Center and assisted in the care of the Swami after his stroke and before his passing. Afterward Jim joined the Order in India, and became Swami Shivaprasadananda and remained to work there.

LONDON

What can I add to the account already given? Of the members of Swami Ghanananda's monastery of 1969 only two remain in the Order: Tripurananda and myself. Tony Leung remained a probationer for some years, and lived at the monastery in Bourne End. Swami Parahitananda, the first Englishman to take sannyasa, was Swami's assistant until I arrived, whereafter he was sent to India and worked for some time at Advaita Ashrama in the editorial dept. of Prabuddha Bharata. Unfortunately he decided to leave the Order.
Swami Tripurananda was for years assigned to the book dept. and the housekeeping and cooking, spending periods in India until he was ready to give discourses and classes, visit the many schools requesting our services, and take over the "management" of the Centre — which meant doing nearly everything. When I left for America he got the portfolio of editing Vedanta for East and West. He has lived a retired life for many years.
